Yeah, YOU!

HELLO!

Thank you so much for giving me some of your valuable time- that’s super cool and I so appreciate it! That’s me with the sunglasses. I look pretty much the same but a few inches taller.

Just a bit about me, I was raised in San Jose California. I use she/her pronouns. And though I grew up in a family of medical professionals, that was definitely not my route in life. But that’s okay because my senior year of high school I really found my passion for theater. But that wasn’t my first time performing. No no. For seven years of my life from middle school through high school I performed with the color guard in parades alongside Mickey and then in field shows sans any Disney characters.

I am a recent graduate of Brown/Trinity’s MFA program and am back on the west coast with my husband Ian. Check out my instagram if you don’t believe me. @Bratwurst_Banhmi

My goal is to create work that is transportive. That is simultaneously funny and tender. That is collaborative. That is for Asians, women, and all my mixed race babes. I feel immense gratitude that I have the opportunity to follow my passion in the arts and as a second generation daughter of a Vietnamese immigrant, I do not take opportunities for granted. My biggest hope is that other mixed babies will feel inspired or welcomed to do the same.

One day I hope to meet you, dear reader, so I may ask you many questions about yourself!
